Musk rocket crashes again. No casualties

Didn’t need to. It was that well designed.
It was an expensive disposable.

Had more been launched, probability likely would have caught up with it. That was the reason for the escape rocket pod on the tip of the command capsule.

That was part of the reason for the Shuttle program. Try having reusable hardware. Which had a couple dramatic failures.

Well no one was hurt so thats a big bonus. It must be galling for US taxpayers who are paying for this shit show.
Maybe theu should restrict these pointless launches in case the debris falls on someones head ?
Lets hope its an illegal.
It is in testing and development. And the money for it is private up to now. They hopefully make improvements for each flight and in yesterday's launch purposely shit down and restarted other engines. Still have gotten a lot of information for the next launch. So far for the Starship project Space X has spent about 5.5 billion dollars. Perhaps you can kick Musk out of the West and go to China. The NASA Space Launch System that is developing is expensive. Too expensive to do what they want long term.

Every time you put down Musk's rockets, you are actually thinking about how many times you failed in bed. :)

Marener is so radicalized, he's cheering for the legacy technology that dumped hundreds of tons of contaminated industrial waste into the ocean, because Elon Musk found a way to avoid that.

I’ve hated the Starship HLS and SLS for years. The whole Artemis architecture was the best NASA could do with the confines of stupid decisions made in Congress.

But it’s particularly hypocritical that you assholes don’t think we have enough money to fund HIV medications for poor African nations but we can give the richest man on the planet billions of taxpayer dollars to build useless exploding rockets for no discernible benefit.
The USA isn't supposed to be the world's policeman, but you expect us to be the world's ATM ??? !!!

You do realize that Starship is providing jobs and expanding technology, or don't you ???

SpaceX’s HLS lander is not reusable and it doesn’t even taken astronauts to space from
Earth. It doesn’t even take them from
Earth orbit to lunar orbit. It’s there solely to bring them from lunar orbit to the surface and back to lunar orbit. Thats it.

Right. The worlds richest man needs our hard earned taxpayer dollars.

They have been testing a new style of heat shield, which is extremely hard to do, as it involves shaping the nose cone so precisely that it cant be off by even a micron anywhere in its dimensions. They could continue with the old style and never have any issues in flight (which is what they currently do for every manned flight), but the old style heat shields require SIGNIFICANT work after each flight, which makes space travel extraordinarilly expensive and not feasible for mass space flights.

Reinventing the wheel comes with a lot of trial and error. I realize that you arent interested in an honest discussion about this (your petty goal is obviously just to shit on Elon), but i figured i would inform you nonetheless. :dunno:

This is gibberish.

Has the nerve to criticize the genius of the richest man in the world while he sits at a computer and eats cake and ice cream all day while doing his best Hitler impression...

yes it is reusable....thats what it is designed for....

SpaceX planned on landing HLS on the moon in 2025.

But they’re punting.

The delays in Artemis are causing that as well. So NASA is behind too.

They are guarenteed to crash. I dont understand. Nasa cracked this in the 60s. What is so diffficult ?

Well... since the left canceled our space program, it took a private citizen to step in and keep it going. There will be failures along the way, but at the end of it all, at least america is still advancing the space race.

All the more reason to scrap the whole stupid program.

None of the mission architecture makes sense from any objective standpoint. It’s all just one compromise after another stemming primarily from Congress demanding NASA fly the SLS to
maintain jobs in their home districts.

To get back to the Moon, and eventually Mars.

We should have remained on the moon, the 50 year gap is going to take some work to get back from.

This is not the way back to the moon. It’s the way to a decade of delays and budget overrides.

Your opinion is worth the same as a Zimbabwean dollar.
It’s a well informed opinion.

First start with the fact that Congress mandated use of SLS which doesn’t have enough delta V to make it to low lunar orbit and back.
