new group: i love the 80s

Why in the name of Tartarus did you send me an invite

Because I thought you were an 80s child — or that you at least went through the decade somehow.

I was born at the veeeeery end of the 80's (Dec 89) so I didn't really experience it. I was a 90s child...

My birth was likely the most epic thing that happened in the 80s, next to Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi :)

Return of the Jedi sucked

Jedi sucked even harder after the 2004 revamp, when the ghost of Hayden Christensen with his Jedi mullet was added, and the happy Ewok yub-nub song was eliminated.

Hell man, the sixties were great also..the early seventies but the later seventies was chaotic...all my memories about the eighties was one of wearing BDU's and being in the Army as a anti-armor missile tech. Then admin specialist, and to end it all generation equipment repair and operation..the later eighties was being a single Father and trying to work three jobs and trying to finish college...

Were you in the polyester business?

I liked Return of the Jedi. Those scenes towards the end with Vader, Luke, and the Emperor made it soooo awesome

Just started it tonight:

I think I set the parameters so you can join without having gotten an invite, but PM me if you want one nonetheless.

Bring Max Headroom with you if you know where to find him.

shart

I am an 80's baby, so I have joined.

:beer::dance::banghead:

Glad you jumped into the mosh pit with us, friend.

I've got a lot of ideas for threads there that I just can't do here because of the risk of being accused of spamming the board and whatnot.

You got ideas? Quizzes we can make? A wet t-shirt contest?

Wear your pink spandex and bring 'em to the party, honey!!!!!

It may not have been a Norman Rockwell-esque paradigm, those 80s of ours, but man, did we have some serious fun back then or what, dear?

Bringin' it back, Noomi.
