New York Jets to appear on HBO "Hard Knocks"

A lot of pundits say the show is a curse on your playoff chances, but that is because most teams on there are bad teams. Only one team has ever won more than one playoff game on that show, and it was the Jets, when they went to the AFC Championship game with Mark Sanchez and Rex Ryan in 2010.

The former GM of the Jets when they did this said this morning that they actually practiced better because of the show, and drills were a little sharper, as no one wanted to be the guy who got his ass chewed on the show.

Most NFL teams would prefer not to be on "Hard Knocks," but the show doesn't hinder team performance all that much.

I read that the Jets have added depth to their woeful O-line. If the new cast of lineman are able to quickly gel into a cohesive unit, then the Jets are a legit playoff team. If they can't, then they are not.

That's pretty much true, they have both defense and offense covered, as well as the recieving corps and running back. Rodgers will need time in a new offense, but what really matters to their playoff chances are how good is the pass rush of NE, MIA. and BUF.
