Too many mediocre teams
28 teams was the magic Number

The season is too long
The playoffs is to long

Too many Injuries

Meh, I rather have a extra game at the end of the season than four pre-season games.

I think the injury thing is a wash given the rule changes to protect players but a extra game where the players are going full-bore is bound to produce more injuries among marquee players than a pre-season game where they are only on the field for half a game at best.

I'm wondering if the increase of the practice team size (16 due to covid) has anything to do with the parity we are seeing? It seems that many injury holes are being plugged quite well with practice squad players.
