Crony capitalism is great, if you are a politician.
The President cannot Legislate. Only The Senate and House Can so if they pass an unjust bill that only favors state monopolies and insurance companies then the corrupt establishment has won out.
The president is just one man and if the voters keep voting in corrupt
Men who fight The President then it's our fault not his.
We saw this with Obamacare. We had a corrupt president and corrupt Congress who passed a Corrupt Law that was not even Constitutional.
There not enough good men to fight it so Obamacare a corrupt and Evil Oppressive Law became The Law of The Land.
Health Insurance is nowhere near the most profitable business out there, profit margins are pretty thin. The only reason it's even a thing is that it's a product that requires no imagination, no raw materials, no innovation, no nothing. They just take money in one door and send it out the other door keeping some.
They are nothing more than a payment system and a tax on stuff we need. What do we need these people for? In the age of automation it should be one of our simpler tasks to automate them right out of business, AKA, single payer. One single entity to do the menial task of all these separate companies that exist only to give unimaginative people jobs. Fuckem, we got people dying out here, the boring can go be accountants or bankers or some other thing that lets them work indoors and wear a suit.
Yes, I fail to see what is so special about insurance that we have to tolerate their waste. ...and, in fact, Medicare is automated. I worked at a hospital. All Medicare claims were done electronically simply by entering coded information into the Medicare claim site, and the claim was paid or denied without human decision making. There was an override program for appeals, which was also wholly electronic.
