This could be an weekend of great education for the population of Northern California. A time of learning how their grandparents lived without electricity. Without air conditioning. But with candles.
Because PG&E has plans in place to turn off the power. Entirely for large regions.
But it's for their own good!
PG&E may shut off power in several North State counties Saturday
PG&E is being threatened with bankruptcy as eco-whackjobs try to blame the utility for last year's horrific fires. Better safe than sorry, right?
But California doesn't care. In fact, it hasn't even passed a law against the REAL cause of the fire:
Hammer spark caused California's largest wildfire - CNN
A hammer!
One might but wonder how many fires till be started from the thousands of generators that'll be pressed into service if PG&E makes good on the power-off scenario.
How many more wildfires must Californians endure before the real culprit - the hammer - is forever banned?
