I remember several years ago listening to NPR talking openly about the UN planning the fleecing of America.

In terms of editorial content, yes.

But the are first, and foremost a news organization.

People who think Fox, NoiseMax or X land don’t distinguish between factual reporting and editorializing. Because Fox is mostly opinion. Snide editorial asides permeate most of what they call news, their audience doesn’t know any better.

And as Fox executives will be the first to admit,it doesn’t matter as long as the target audience hears what it wants to hear. That’s policy with them.
