Obama Not Our Boyfriend Anymore

So, this metaphor is being widely used by the left, or was used once by one person at Kos?

Which is it again?
Which did I claim?

Answer carefully. Feel free to refer to reality.

However many you were referring to in this exchange:

"Leftists really are a bunch of emotional little girls."

"The childish comments are from the right. Look again before you decide who most resembles little girls."

"Really? We're not the ones claiming the President of the United States isn't our boyfriend anymore."

So who are the rest, besides the Kos editor?
You'll have to ask who he thinks he's speaking for. He did say "our boyfriend", and I doubt he was using the royal adjective.

Should I repeat the question?

No need. I don't have the information you want. The Daily Kos editor does.

This thread is a perfect example of people taking some tiny comment and turning it into political bullshit. Pat yourselves on the backs, guys and gals. 13 pages of nothing about an offhand metaphor that some conservatives want to turn into a scathing expose on the "mind of a liberal".

So totally laughable.

This is a big reason why Obama is in trouble in 2012:

President Obama took his licks from progressives who are meeting in Minneapolis at the Netroots Nation Convention, the annual gathering of liberal bloggers and other social media activists.

The panel that drew one of the biggest crowds at Netroots Nation so far was called "What To Do When The President's Just Not That Into You."

"It's like the president's not our boyfriend anymore," Joan McCarter, an editor at the Daily Kos website, said during the discussion.

At Netroots Nation, Liberal Bloggers Sour On Obama : NPR

Many of Obama's supporters made purely emotional decisions (as there was really nothing of substance in his record). Now they are disappointed romantics who now realize that the person they thought was their One True Love just wanted to get laid.

Obama didn't have to defend anything the first round. He got by by attacking Bush and the Republicans. This round he will have to defend his first 4 years and that's a whole different ballgame.

Yes, he's still running against Bush.

Don't forget...he'll also claim he was Gutsy and Killed Obama.

But you know the republicans will come after him on his own record. He is going to have to defend it at some point. All they need to do is pull out his 2008 platform and his list of promises that never happened.

Wonder if he'll mention he started a war?

No, it wouldn't. That's what the entire monetary system was based on for decades.

The whole point of gold and silver certificates were that they were backed - by gold and silver.

A right to a certain event, not a completely fungible piece of scrip.

Scrip always has limitations. Military scrip is only useful at a commissary, credit cards, the most common form of modern scrip, are only useful at participating vendors, ditto Paypal and all the new e-scrip.

Did you have a point to this?

Indeed. It really won't be difficult to show his Presidency has been a failure.

How unfair - we all know that you leftists have no mind......

He sold me in 2008 but he won't sell me again. That's what he is going to be up against. People have lost faith and words alone no longer cut it.
