Obamacare: More Republicans than Democrats have signed up

Grim bit of news indeed for the future of the Republican Party with this latest bit of information. This translates for more votes for the Democrats but the irony is that the new 'dependents' looking for free-stuff are... young Republicans.

PS... no wonder r-wingers are not responding to this thread in droves, their future indeed looks dim and bleak. Adios GOP!

A team at the Commonwealth Fund, which strongly supports healthcare reform, looked at one of the main target groups of the 2010 Affordable Care Act – young adults who have been going without health insurance. One of the most popular provisions of the law lets people age 26 and younger stay on their parents’ health insurance.

“Public opinion polls found a partisan divide … but Republicans and Democrats both took advantage of the young adult provisions,” says Commonwealth vice president Sara Collins, who led the study. “In fact, more Republicans than Democrats did.”

come up with something better.

seriously, the economy sucks, so yeah, young people are going to sign up to stay behind mommies skirt.

Ya, like the 27 year olds are going to complain for paying for ObamaCare when faced with the alternatives.

Like having no healthcare at all or paying thousands of dollars for a simple hospital care procedure.

Well, well. Look what we've discovered lately.

Even Republican young adults want health insurance, poll finds - NBC News.com

Obamacare may have become a partisan issue, but more Republicans than Democrats have signed up for one of its most popular provisions, according to a survey published Wednesday.

Of course, because like anything else these people are hypocrites who whine about anything and everything but then do the opposite of what they preach. They don't care about being consistent, just look at literally anything they claim to be about or support.

Obamacare: More Republicans than Democrats have signed up

If true, could it be because the main way you "sign up" is through your employer... and more Republicans than Democrats have jobs?

I paid every medical bill I incurred and to this day I do not have health insurance. I raised five kids to the age of majority and paid every single medical bill every time one of them needed medical attention.

I'm guessing you never pay for your medical bills so you assume no one else does either.

47 years old, Never needed it and look how much money I saved. Its the same thing with car insurance I drove 10 years with out it. Why should I pay for old folks or bad drivers?

As has already been pointed out no has signed up because it has not started yet and when it does start on October 1st how are you going to know what party the people signing up belong to unless your required to list your political party affiliation and provide proof of it. Wouldn't it be funny if this was the case given this is the same party that is against voter I.D.

and good ole NBC cranking out the propaganda

how many ties did we count they had to this administration, by marriages, etc etc?
