The economy s slowly rebounding, but recently many my friends and relatives are working jobs that have abusive in terms of schedule and working conditions. My brother landed a job as a forklift operator. He is very good at his job and they can get more out of him working overtime than they can the other no-loads working a 40 hour week. He sometimes is forced to work 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, and when he gets home he collapses into bed because he is exhausted. He is living to work instead of working to live. If he tries to get some time off, he increases the chance that they will just find someone else willing to put up with the hours.

My daughter's boyfriend installs and repairs car windshields. He often works 12 hour days 6 days a week, and he is a single Dad, so all of his extra overtime income goes to paying for childcare, and he never sees his kids.

I can remember when this started back in the 70s. Employers discovered they could save money by cutting hours to less than full time and not paying benefits. And they started stealing pensions.

Now its just the way business is done.

Hopefully, people will see this and SAVE and INVEST because is they don't, they won't be able to retire.

I ran my own business and usually worked 7 days at 12 hours a day..One day I notice my kids in college..

I don’t see that statistic as that far from reality on the ground. It depends who is being counted. Those on welfare are unemployed, those working part time or working very low wage jobs because that is all they can find should be considered as well. This economy is truly dreadful when you consider how many are bad off instead of how many are well off.

As for Trump, well what has he done to help lower the unemployment problem he is talking about?

How many manufacturing jobs has he crated with his billions of dollars here in America, or does he only care about the manufacturing sector while running for President but when he was not running he prefer to buy made in China because it was cheaper?
