Wrong "hope". The Sars-2 virus makes it very clear what everyone did wrong and is doing wrong worlwide. The arrogant ignorance of the USA in context of the man made climate change belongs as well as Corona to the problems many people in the USA did not like to solve in the past and don't like to solve now - but in such cases the USA (and others) suffer now - and will also have to suffer in the future the bad consequences, which inevitably will come, because of the wrong decisions of the USA. You should understand that your irrational, freakish climate science denial all stems directly from a single speech given by Newt Gingrich in the 1990s. He politicized global warming in turning it into a "left vs right" issue. The fossil fuel industry watched this with great interest and were amazed at how well the slime's propaganda actually worked on the right wing sheeple.
