For the record we celebrate Independence Day because that's the day that the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th, 1776 after we beat the British in the Revolutionary war. Eat your heart out all you dropouts.

I am sure he did. But the sheer fact in a single day this many people literally had no idea what July 4th is for??
I am going to say 20 years ago he would have to have spent a week or more on location to find this many people this uninformed... and you can see by the sun.. at most it was an hour or so.

It was the document that declared us a free nation. The war officially ended in 1783.

At the time it was signed, the outcome or the war was looking very bleak for the revolutionaries.
