“Madam speaker, one of the clearly ad-libbed moments was during the section about immigration,” CNN anchor Dana Bash said before playing a clip of Biden’s remarks.

The president referred to the slain 22-year-old nursing student as “Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal,” botching her first name.

“Now he should have said undocumented, but that’s not a big thing, OK? What’s the big thing?” Pelosi said in response.

Jose Ibarra, 26, an illegal Venezuelan immigrant who crossed the southern border into El Paso, Texas, has been charged with Riley’s murder. The nursing student’s heartbroken parents turned down an invite to attend Biden’s address.

Social media users quickly ripped Pelosi for focusing on the language Biden used rather that the alleged shocking crime.

Ibarra had been arrested several times for child endangerment, driving under the influence, shoplifting, failure to report for finger printing. Any of those offenses should have resulted in his deportation. The Republican House, joined by 37 Democrats passed the Laken Riley Act that would require the Dept of Homeland Security to arrest and take into custody all migrants who break laws like theft, etc. It is uncertain whether Schumer will even allow a vote in the Senate and it's fairly certain Biden would likely veto it.

Not only did Biden mispronounce Laken's name last night, but he indicated absolutely no personal responsibility whatsoever for illegals 'killing thousands of people' which he seemed to admit was happening. The leftwing MSM tried to defend him by pointing out that the GOP refused to vote for a 'bipartisan' bill on immigration but they never add that the reason the GOP would not vote for the bill is that it would do little or nothing to correct the problem but would make it permanent.
