People are questioning whether Biden actually resigned or was the victim of a coup

Pay attention. Until the delegate vote, there is no Democratic Nominee for president. And the 2024 delegates have yet to vote.

Biden was the PRESUMPTIVE nominee. And then he dropped out.
Yup, this exact thing happens every four years. The Democrat's primary, where they all vote for their preferred candidate, was never meant to actually nominate anyone.

According to the way you describe it, the primaries have always been a ruse to let the voters think they are participating in "our democracy." When in reality, the oligarchs decide who they want as the dem's candidate at the convention.

Biden was angry and mad as hell, telling anyone and everyone he was damn sure not going to drop out of the race. There was his phone call into Morning Joe, where he defiantly declared there was never a better president than he. Challenging them to name any NATO leader who did not agree with him. Biden made it clear that he was the only person who could defeat Trump just days earlier.

The dems said something to him to force him to step down.

My guess, the Democrat leaders in congress and his own administration probably threatened to properly investigate Biden and his family for federal crimes of corruption. Or they brought up other ways they would sabotage him, maybe with the 25th amendment. The dems in Congress and his administration have been protecting and shielding Joe Biden and his crime family for decades.

That's the problem when powerful people use their wealth, power and influence to make you, because once they grow tired of you, they have the power to break you too.

I think that's what happened here. Powerful people inside the Democratic Party machine, and the news media have lied for, and covered up for Biden. They used their power, money and coercive influence to get him elected, and they just flipped the switch and are using those powers to break him.

Seriously, what a mess, as less than 24 hours earlier Biden tweeted he was going to win. Then, on X, he tweets he's dropping out from the race for the nomination.

Then, it took about 30 minutes for another tweet saying he backs Kamala Harris for the nomination.

For something this momentous, Biden should have asked for TV time to make a public statement to America, to all of us. Crickets.

Where is the President?

For now, I'm taking at face value that Biden has withdrawn from the presidential campaign via a tweeted-out letter, with the promise of a live statement to follow.
However, a surprising number of people believe that, considering how consequential Biden's statement is, a tweeted-out letter suggests a coup rather than a voluntary resignation. More than anything, this reveals how the Biden administration has destroyed all trust in the government.

The second, roughly 30 minutes later, at 2:13 p.m. Eastern Time, finally endorsed Kamala:

The whole thing is peculiar, aside from its uniqueness in American political history. What's appeared on X, the social media site where political junkies live, is a growing suspicion that Biden didn't actually resign. Instead, many people (possibly hundreds) hypothesize that the letter was put out on Biden's behalf, forcing him to accept a fait accompli. Had Joe actually withdrawn on his own initiative, most believe he would have made that consequential announcement in person rather than via a letter. And of course, the memes are already in play:
