Perhaps time to challenge why a POTUS cannot be indicted

this is the federal power that is actually delegated to Congress: To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization.

Any arbitrariness and capriciousness could be perceived as a misuse of process.

I personally do not want to impeach him, unless he and his team were acting as agents of a foreign power, in a conspiracy to defraud the United States elections, by working with the Russians and other Foreign Nations throughout his campaign, to win the election.

The Inquisition feloniously leaks on a constant basis. So we know that the Russian angle is a bust, unless Torquemada charges Hillary and Queer Barry for buying the Dossier from the Russians

Since collusion led to his side, he abandoned that long ago.

Or maybe even for being a money launderer for the Russians, Saudis and the Lord only knows who else.

That puts him in a position of compromise, and makes it very concerning that he may not be putting the United States FIRST....

I'd rather him being crushed in the next election,

or better yet... him not running at all.... and him going back to his crooked, and morally empty life as a real estate tycoon and pussy grabbing Reality TV star.

Maybe he sold uranium interests to Russia?

Either way, even Communist commentators acknowledge he will win reelection.

The incredibly boring reason Trump is on track to win in 2020

You don't get more commie fuck than Vox.

The Democrats really don't have anyone right now that can challenge the Trumpster seriously. Creepy Joe? Crazy Bernie? Pocahontas? Crooked Hillary? All these folks are jokes. If I were advising the DNC, I'd tell them to recruit the son of a mailman, John Kasich, into the party to run in 2020. Kasich could help move the party back toward the center and help get more Never Trumpers.

The left wing of the Democrat Party will stay home, they have no place else to go. John Kasich's insane, rabid hatred of our President is legendary, I can't see libs dissing him.

Lets bear in mind that there is nothing in our Constitution or any statute that prohibits a sitting president from being indicted.......What we have is just an "opinion" from the DOJ basically stating that a president has too many issues to contend with to be burdened with "legal" headaches (never mind the golfing outings and campaign rallies.)

Anyway, under this corrupt administration it may be an optimum time to challenge the notion whether a sitting president is above the law or not....Don't you think?

Totally agree with you there. BUT--there is a process called impeachment to remove a President from Office first, and then he can be indicted.

That's probably the better way to go, which is why the DOJ will not indict a sitting President who could easily take out his frustration and anxiety on this nation while he's still in power.

I hope that is exactly what happens as soon as Democrats are sworn in as majority leaders on January 20, 2019.

A great book for everyone to read to prepare for the open public hearings and testimony. Reads just like one of the best spy novels ever, and it's non-fiction.

Yes, I agree that impeachment is what the Founders provided as the remedy for a rogue, corrupt president......HOWEVER, the system presumes that Congress would be filled with folks with both a spine and ethical compasses.......the current bunch lacks both and would rather undermine our democratic precept than risk their sorry asses at future elections....especially in those states where a majority of the population has become a cult following.

Totally agree with you. Trump is a crook, he always has been. His jumping into this race was nothing more than to attract the attention of Vladimir Putin in order to make millions on the Trump tower in downtown Moscow. He had no intentions of wanting to be President, nor did he expect to win. There is nothing more that I would like to see as him being escorted from the White House in handcuffs.
Trump’s business sought deal on a Trump Tower in Moscow while he ran for president

Nancy Pelosi has already stated there is no point in trying to impeach him, unless Republicans in the Senate are on board with this. We can only hope that when she starts the open-public hearings and testimony--that they will end up begging her to start impeachment proceedings, otherwise we're in for this White House T.V. reality shit show for another 2 years

You sure Kasich wouldn't lead them even further left? :dunno:

How long did it take the Grand Inquisitor to leak Trumps answers? Less than 2 hours?

Did the corrupt fuck have MSNPC waiting in his office?

So, moron........Let's see ALL of those "leaked" Trump answers that the orange clown probably used crayons to write.............Do you have them??? Where the fuck are they?

I mean, if they were leaked.......lets see them.............

(what a fucking moron with orange lips.......LOL)

DERP

Torquemada uses the media to wage war on the Administration. His conduit is the literally thousands of leaks that come from his corrupt Inquisition.

{
Another day, another potentially illegal leak from special counsel Robert Mueller’s grand jury investigating Russian election meddling.

NBC News reported Monday that Mueller has “gathered enough evidence” to indict former national security adviser Michael Flynn and his son.

Mueller has enough evidence to charge Flynn in Russia investigation
This followed the earlier leak to CNN — 72 hours in advance — that the grand jury had voted the first indictments in the investigation, later identified as former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his business associate Rick Gates.

And that raises the suspicion that the special counsel may be playing politics with his prosecutions.

True, the leaks may not necessarily have come from Mueller’s office, though the incentive for anyone else is pretty limited. (CNN identified its sources as people “briefed on the matter” and NBC as “sources familiar with the investigation.”)}

The DOJ rule (and that's ALL it is) saying that President's can be indicted and thus are above the law...was a result of Nixon's DOJ.

I'm all for either a law be passed (and the SCOTUS make a final decision) that a president CAN be indicted as anyone else in an elected office.

THAT would keep corrupt charlatans and demagogues from running for the oval office and messing up with our representative democracy.
You're all for indicting the President unless he's a Democrat. Your OP is Bullshit. Impeach him and your see Trump win in 2020. The Senate will never remove this great leader.

If a President is prosecuted, he's like prosecuting himself, which seem pretty pointless.

Nitwits seem to want a "king" sitting in the oval office....someone who is sitting there by "divine right".......We CLEARLY have a separation of powers among equal segments of our governmental system....NO ONE should be above the law....NO ONE!!!.....
Except Democrats. Be truthful. Should Hilary go to jail?

Exactly true. If the President were to abdicate in favor of Mr. Pence this evening, Mueller would get Cohen to change his testimony tomorrow to implicate the new President. The liberals would no more cooperate with Mike Pence's Mandate than they did with the Trumpster's.

Have another tall glass of orange kool-aid.......I'm not here to fix your imbecility......lol

Obama aided the enemy by giving Iran $150 billion dollars. Above the law is entire presidency.

The above idiot STILL "think;s that Obama raided the treasury at night, and gave Iran billions of tax payers' money..........How do these morons turn their computer on all by themselves without help???

LMAO

No, not at all. If the House and Senate didn't believe he was guilty, they would have a moral obligation to acquit him of the charges. Why would they be "obliged"

Nitwit..........congress would be obliged since the JUDICIAL SYSTEM (a co-equal part of our system) PROVED a president guilt.......

Please find a grown up to help you.
276 Members of Congress used a $17 million slush fund to pay off the women they sexually assaulted. They had them go away so their chance of re-election wouldn't be jeopardized. And you fuckers want to hold Trump as a criminal? Fuck that!

Interesting dilemma

What if a third of the Senate is willing to overlook criminal acts to maintain political power?

How about if a 1/3 of the Senate doesn't believe the prosecution met the burden of proof and the President is innocent?
That is the intent
Same goes for criminal prosecution

But what if Senators are more concerned with their political asses than ensuring criminal activity is punished
If the republican Senate convicts Trump of a bogus charge, they will all be ousted from Office. And they know that.

Again there is a process in place to remove a President to do so any other way would truly destabilize the government for decades and decades.

NO ONE is disputing the current procedure for impeachment........What this thread is about is the REMOVAL of the DOJ guideline (not a law) for indicting a sitting president on criminal charges when warranted..........This is what this thread is about.

Think, nat, for just a second.

Suppose President Trump were indicted and convicted and sent to prison. He would still be President, while hanging out in the yard with the rest of the guys. And considering the fact that the Bureau of Corrections is under his Dept. of Justice, it would be sort of bizarre, no?

He would be indicted and then congress would have no choice but to impeach and remove him.
The American people will not stand for Trump to be indicted for a charge Mueller is working on. These are bogus charges made up by the deep state. This prosecution should never had been started in the first place.
