The world is an inter-connected net, and the electricity of it all beckons images/imaginations of speed, virtuosity, cyber-intelligence, traffic, production, and of course competition.
This is the Age of Toys, so how should we think about creation and waste? How should we avoid the demons of war?

Aristotle talked about the logic of truth-statements. Einstein talked about relative mass. Edison gave us the light-bulb. Hawking discussed an eternal 'arrow of time.' Mozart showed us the beauty of progressive scales and chords. Now we have NASDAQ, WikiLeaks, Wal-Mart, and Hollywood. Humanity has progressed to a state of great grids and points of stimulation. We might even call this species achievement the 'Net Theory.' Just imagine the universe as a giant 'net' (instead of a matrix of mass and energy or a random array of objects/particles simply 'glued' together by gravity/force). This giant 'net' would capture (imagery-wise) this incredible layout of motion, traffic, energy, and socialization (e.g., Wall Street, World Bank). This giant 'net' is of course invisible/virtual, so we might think of the universe as a 'collection' of 'phantom' (or even 'metaphysical') nets!
A great comic book artist created the waste-paranoia anti-hero Swamp Thing, a toxicity-themed abomination who is of a swamp-like 'aura.' Swamp Thing is the 'vengeance force' who reminds us of the complete 'ruin' of this giant 'net' we've been discussing/portraying. Swamp Thing is a creature of waste, decay, rage, and mutation --- not regular geometry or energy characteristic of our giant 'net.' Swamp Thing is therefore the 'dirty mud' in our proposed layout of textural matrix-oriented giant 'net.' Swamp Thing reminds us of ugliness every time our giant 'net' motivates us to think only of smoothness.
An American scientist working for the military/government might design an 'ice-gun' (perhaps a gun that shoots stored/secured liquid-nitrogen). Such an 'ice-gun' would be useful for all kinds of combat. It could instantly freeze enemies/tanks or even large buildings. We might think of strange ice-guns presented in comic books such as Batman (DC Comics) or video-games such as Ratchet and Clank. Our hypothetical 'ice-gun' (liquid-nitrogen gun) is an imagined 'fusion' of our giant 'net' of energy-utility/array and our presented abomination of ruin/decay/polarity (Swamp Thing). Does this ice-gun throw a 'monkey-wrench' into our Net Theory?
A popular paramilitary comics franchise G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (Hasbro/Marvel) presents stories of patriotic crusaders known as 'G.I. Joes' vying with a vile terrorist organization known as 'Cobra.' Various G.I. Joes such as Flint, Lady Jaye, and Roadblock deal with Cobra demons such as Baroness, Serpentor, and Major Bludd. We might read about Flint handling an 'ice-gun' in a campaign to destroy a terrifying Cobra fortress hidden in Australia. So does our giant 'net' (our proposed Net Theory) illuminate something about all this 'skeletal intrigue'? What would the Trump Administration say?
