Police break into the wrong home..........again.

How about actually put out the effort to make sure they have the right place? On top of that, yes, ring the doorbell in a case like this. It's an apartment. With a few well placed officers there is nowhere for someone to run.

Do you know the record of the individual in the warrant? What are their priors? Unless it is a high-risk warrant, the wanted person is asked to turn himself in to the police. Why do you demand that that police put themselves in such grave danger?

With everything going on one would think they would be taking more precautions and realizing that some crimes are not worth the violence they commit to address him.

Even the person they were after was only wanted for breaking into some cars. There is no need for this.

This is going to cost taxpayers a ton of money and hopefully the officers their jobs.

People make mistakes, including the police from time to time. Maybe the police officer has dyslexia, or was relying on his faulty memory in exercising the warrant. BTW, stealing and breaking into cars is a serious offense. Of course the police should be serious about investigating the crime.
Can you imagine a police officer being shot seven times in the back --- and the person shooting him not even being arrested because it was a mistake

Its part of a police officer's job description to shoot the people that are determined to need shot. After all, police officers are required by their police chiefs to be both armed and dangerous. That's the huge difference. Although IMHO, it would be a smart move to provide Body Armor, shields and other protective equipment to police officers so they have less reason to have itchy trigger fingers. dress them like Stallone, and it will help the cops feel more confident they will survive their shift.

That isn't what I asked you.......

Can a citizen accidentally shoot a police officer 7 times in the back and not be arrested, let alone prosecuted..

If your assertion is that a police officer's job is to shoot people who needs to be shot -- shouldn't we demand more accountability from a police officer? or is saying "well, people make mistakes" enough??

Are you saying that they made a mistake? That is unacceptable. We should burn down cities until the cops are perfect human beings.

A careless mistake. One that was lazy and showed little concern for the people who may be harmed. You don't bust into an apartment because someone you are looking for once lived there in the past.

Nobody could ever feel secure in their own home if that is the standard the police want to use.

Who is saying that the shooting by Kenosha's finest was a mistake at all. The cops who bust into the wrong house, that was clearly a mistake. But Kenosha was something entirely different. It might not have been a mistake at all. The police may have determined that the shooting was called for

Lol @ you thinking this only applies to Kenosha...

This applies to dozens and dozens and dozens of "police mistakes" over the past couple of years....

Ask Botham Jean if he would be ok with giving his life for an officer's mistake..

Ask Breonna Taylor if she deserved to be shot dead in her sleep because of a mistake

Ask the President of the Toronto Raptors that officers falsely accused him of assault and tried to get him charged with a felony was just an honest mistake?

Because in all of those cases, people like you were more than willing to bend over backwards to believe anything the police told you...but you folks are the same people who puts on camo fatigues and carry AR-15's to the state house because of your belief that wearing a mask is government tyranny...

The incident with the Foreign basketball owner happened in a liberal jurisdiction, Oakland CA. A place owned and controlled by Leftards. Actually, ditto where the vast majority of these cases occur. NYC when Eric Garner died is ultraliberal. Same with Baltimore where Freddy Gay perished and now the city of Kenosha.

So you support police abuse simply because of who is being abused?

The police should have had someone come out and put in a new door no cost to her. An apology is in order as well.

Wait, the City is not responsible for the damage ?

To come out and repair the damage is to acknowledge they did something wrong.

They already acknowledged they did something wrong....wrong house
The City should be on the hook for all repairs

Seems to me one of the biggest problems in Policing is if they make a mistake, they should face consequences. Not have immunity.
And I'm referring to the City that hired them. Not just the officers.

That is exactly what people have been demanding for decades -- not only should the city have financial accountability, but the police unions too -- since they are just as complicit in trying to protect these bad cops....

If law enforcement was as passionate about rooting out the bad cops as they have been in protecting them -- there wouldn't be any protests.....

It really isn't police "abuse" if its justified.

But my point was that these incidents are taking place in Liberal jurisdictions so it has nothing to do with conservatism. Its an internal liberal problem

https://www.cga.ct.gov/PS98/rpt\olr\htm/98-R-0323.htm

Municipalities in general are granted wide immunity from actions for their malfeasance.
This had led to a lot of corruption over time.

Indeed. I've long said the solutions to the protests and riots are easy and the right thing to do but many still are not interested.

All of the grief that the police officers have been receiving has really reduced the number of arrests being made by cops in a lot of cities. Other cops saw what happened to Officer Wilson in Ferguson, and don't want it to happen to them. They are doing what they can to avoid getting involved in ugly confrontations and are doing what they can to mind their own business. Has this helped in Baltimore, Ferguson, NYC and elsewhere?

Actually, they are addressing the issue. President Trump has made offers to send in federal troops to areas suffering insurrection and rioting.
