It was part of the propaganda fed to the American public. I suspect that some fell for it and got alarmed.

It's possible that the Chinese lockdowns were also propaganda, intended to scare people and to get the WHO to recommend lockdowns for all developing countries.

You pay HER $223,500 a year plus expenses but SHE stopped you from getting $1,200 for crisis assistance....3 times in one week!!

Personally, I don't want the crumbs that my grand children and great grandchildren will have to pay back with interest.
I can understand if other people want it.

It would be a much better approach for the economy and the physical/mental/social health of everyone if we would simply return to normalcy.
