Poll: 71% of Americans unhappy with country's direction

Is their a site rule about posting same drivel over and over and over when it has no relevance to posts its posted in?

Obama never really want after the rich that have stuck a knife in the backs of our middle class. Yet, you want a president that will do nothing but reward the corporate bums.

No, he didn't. Not like he promised he would. He ended up benefiting Wall Street more than anyone else. Not the middle class, not blacks, and not women.

Sadly, you're right. But I blame the republicans just as much for not helping him punish the bastards that have sliced our throats in the corporate world and blocking his jobs bills.

Seriously, who was it that got us to the moon? The government? Did they build the technology it took to get there? No, it was the private sector. It was corporations. Granted, the funding came from taxpayer money that was generated by the employees of corporate America, but the government did not do that. How would NASA had even existed if it weren't for corporations like Sperry Rand, Morton Thiokol, and hundreds of other corporations?

And 90% of the awesome fucking things they did was because of tax dollars and government.

Sick and in tired of you people whining about cuttign and doing away with eveything.
Nobody wants to get rid of EVERYTHING. Why is everything so black and white with you?

It is your side that says they want to cut everything.

Unfortunately, half of them want to take the country further in the wrong direction. Those people flocking to Sanders are disappointed that Obama didn't create the Socialist's paradise they were expecting.

....and where did that "tax money" come from? Was that some magical stash that the government just happened to have lying around?

Nope. Every cent of it came from people who work for corporations, or those corporations themselves.

and when we launched the space program how much of your budget was going to transfer payments??????

Is it something unexpected? America now is only a bleak shadow of our great past. Our country is being hated by almost every single person living on our planet and we don't have enough of power even to kick the ISIS ass.

Trump has it spot on....

Yet 10 months ago every republican here cheered as over 90 percent of the Congress kept their jobs.

I doubt there is much real anger in the electorate.

Next year will deliver similar results to the Congress as well despite the high number of senators expected to lose their races. I'm guessing the retention rate will be at least 87% or about 410 keeping their jobs.

Where would you rather live than here?

Cut, slash and burn isn't the solution...We're spending the least on infrastructure, science, and education as in any time since George hw Bush. You think cutting the crap out of our ability to compete and awarding the outsourcers is the way forward?
Are you getting tired of saying the same things in every post? Do you realize people just glaze on over your posts because they know what you're going to say? YAWN>

Pot meet kettle.

What's to be happy about? Racial tensions and a sagging economy?

Welcome to the age of Obama!

Of course they are. but you don't see that reported. Because if they did it would SINK the Democrats running for President and the lamestream media who's in the pockets for the DNC isn't going to take that chance.

I hope they are unhappy enough, THEY KICK this nasty Progressive party out of control of our Federal government in 2016, the same way they did in congress under a thuggish Democrat President with TWO Historic midterm elections.

Looks like Americans are getting more realistic about the State. They are waking up to the fact the the "US GOVERNMENT" is a mess that creates more problems than it solves. This is why, when given a choice, voters are going with outsiders like Trump, Carson, Fiorina.

If the Democrats had a real outsider to choose, not the phony Crackpot Sanders with 40 years in politics, they'd flock to him/her too.

Poll: 71% of Americans unhappy with country's direction

08/31/15, 06:31 AM EDT

Americans are mad as hell about the way things are going in the United States. It's not clear if they're going to take it anymore.

More than seven in 10 Americans — 71 percent — said they are dissatisfied, according to the results of a new Quinnipiac University poll released Monday. And 41 percent indicated that they are "very dissatisfied."

Just 2 percent of the registered voters surveyed said they were "very satisfied," while 26 percent said they were "somewhat satisfied."

Asked about the federal government, 27 percent responded that they were "angry," compared with 49 percent who expressed dissatisfaction, but not anger. Enthusiasm for the federal government registered within the margin of error at 2 percent, while just 21 percent said they were satisfied with the government but not enthusiastic.

Just 2 percent said they trusted the government "almost all the time," and only 13 percent said they trusted their leaders in Washington "most of the time." A little more than half — 51 percent — responded that they sometimes trusted the government, while 34 percent said they "hardly ever" do so.

Republicans in Congress drew just 12 percent job approval compared with 81 percent disapproval, while 31 percent approve of the party as a while, compared with 58 percent who do not. On the other side, 27 percent said they approved of the job Democrats in Congress are doing, compared with 66 percent who did not. And the Democratic Party drew 40 percent approval and 50 percent disapproval.

Poll: 71% of Americans unhappy with country's direction

Yet - we will once again vote the same people back in.

I got this from that survey: "A majority of 61 percent to 34 percent expressed support for "major new spending by the federal government" to help students pay for their tuition at public universities."

Just because most Americans are dissatisfied with the direction of the country does not mean that most want tax cuts for the rich, and less government spending on domestic programs.

Wages have been stagnant or declining even for college graduates since Bill Clinton, of beloved memory, left office. Nevertheless, executive compensation keeps rising, and the stock market sets new records.

The U.S. economy continues to grow. Nevertheless, nearly all of the growth goes to those who already are affluent. This is a Democrat issue, if the Democrats learn to exploit it. President Obama obviously has not learned.

We can only hope that comes through in how they vote come 2016

this poll is taken UNDER the thug regime of Obama with Hillary being his lackey.

so VOTE out these Nasty Progressives, who has done NOTHING for the middle class but put us in worse shape than under Bush, and made themselves and their fellow 1%er cronies richer
