Other than for helping Israel defend itself, he’s absolutely right.

Fighting between various groups that has been going on for hundreds of years. USA should never have been in Middle East. Moved our 50 soldiers out. Turkey MUST take over captured ISIS fighters that Europe refused to have returned. The stupid endless wars, for us, are ending! Twitter Moments on Twitter — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 9, 2019
U.S. involvement in the Middle East has cost the country $8 trillion so far, along with many thousands of lives. President Trump said this was the worst decision ever made in the history of America. A Sunday press release confirmed that the U.S. was officially withdrawing from the region, stating “The United States Armed Forces will not support or be involved in the operation.”

I held off this fight for almost three years, but it is time to get out of these ridiculous endless wars…and bring our soldiers home,” the president emphasized.

All sides have had 3 years to ponder how the president was elected partially on the promise to get us out of continual wars. So, that he’s acruallt keeping that promise cannot surprise anyone.

Everything our military has done in the Mideast has made things worse for the Mideast and for the US.

For example, if we had not destroyed the democracy in Iran in 1953, think about how much better the whole Mideast would be now and how much less the US would be hated.

There is a big difference meddling in States internal affairs ,Turkey and defending against a State that wants to eliminate other countries, Iran.
Lol so defending the Kurds is meddling but defending SA isnt.

Kurds are internal with Turkey.
Iran is threating another country that involves our interests as well as the rest of the world in that shipping area.

Amazing how you give Trump a out. Syria is not a part of Turkey. Apparently the way you get help from Trump is to apparently have a business relationship with Trump. Trump has a business relationship with Turkey and Saudi Arabia so they get Trump's help. The Kurds do not and get killed.

Umm those Kurds they are bombing have annexed parts of syria.

The President is correct in principle. Unfortunately, the US will continue to justify a presence in the region regardless of consequences.

Israel is a military dictatorship that controls via violence and oppression a majority of the people living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, denying them basic human rights because they are not Jewish. The US supports 73% of the world’s dictatorships, so there is nothing at all odd about our support for Israel’s apartheid; we supported South Africa’s as well. And now, Israel is helping us move toward a privatized police state which surveils its own citizenry.

See the intercept:
U.S. BORDER PATROL AND AN ISRAELI MILITARY CONTRACTOR ARE PUTTING A NATIVE AMERICAN RESERVATION UNDER “PERSISTENT SURVEILLANCE”

Should go nicely with our militarized white nationalist police force. Our future is quietly being put into place while we quibble over something Bette Midler said or twitter hissyfits? Yeah, we’re truly such an exceptional people ain’t we.

US support for the Zionist colonization of Palestine is the biggest reason for current violence levels in the Middle East unless you believe Jews had the right to evict 700,000 non-Jews from the homes, businesses, and bank accounts in 1848.

Are you more proud of that crime or the more recent atrocity of tossing the Kurds under his Istanbul towers?

Well you don't seem to get it or the concept.
It has nothing to do with what President is in.
