Progressive goals are Good

The right is right about economic issues
The left is right about clean water, air and child labor

Can we agree that some of what both sides believes in are right? The left is wrong simply as it believes in using the government for everything. BUT TO SAY THAT some of what they did is all wrong would be wrong.

Watching a documentary on very early this morning. It was about the progressives in the US putting an end to child labor and the horrendous working conditions of adult men and women. They got a law passed in congress that made it illegal to buy goods produced by child labor in the US. That law was overturned by SCOTUS but in the meantime, the progressives got regulations put in place that made the workplace safer for workers.

Its thanks to progressives that children now go to school instead of work and adults can expect and get a safe working place.

And, as we know, some conservatives would put a stop to that.

And now a kid can't work even if he wants to.

ahh tyranny with pretty bows.

One of the funniest things about prog cement heads is that they keep having to go back to the Industrial Revolution for one of their crowning achievements...Over a century of busybody meddling, mewling and do-goodery and their go-to glory moment is child labor laws.

What are the goals of Progressives?

Fairer taxation.

Higher wages for the middle class.

More benefits for workers.

Cleaner air, water, and land.

More jobs for the unemployed.

Education and training for the poor.

Background checks for all gun sales.

Protect the Right to Choose.

Decriminalization of marijuana.

Decriminalization of doctor assisted suicide for the terminally ill.



What is wrong with these goals?

The majority of your list, adds up to very high taxes, so it becomes impossible to have fair taxes.
