Ramadan as an official holiday?

Most people here are confused about Ramadan.

During the 30 day month of Ramadan, muslims are to conduct themselves like they do any other day. They go to work and participate in regular activities. It's just that they don't eat from sun up to after sun down.

The only day Muslims require off from work is during the ending day of Ramadan which is called Eid.

Eid could be compared to Christmas day for christians. As it is a day of family celebration and the giving of gifts. .....

Within a decade Ramadan will become an official holiday in Europe, much like Christmas is now.

America will follow Europe's lead shortly there after. .....

Why shouldn’t it be?

fasting is a custom in just about every religion------a half day fast is not a fast at all. Hindus do it more strigently
regularly and do not complain or make a GIANT ISSUE OF IT
