The Taliban was fully in check under Trump and was making no serious moves to challenge his hands off orders. He promised them swift and absolute retribution if they moved against American forces or the established Afghan government and they believed him. If he was still President the Taliban would not be in power in Afghanistan, Russia would not have invaded the Ukraine, Hamas would not have attack Israel, Iran, North Korea and China would not all be saber rattling and we would be enjoying effective world peace in our time.

Trump pulled the majority of US troops out and released 5000 prisoners by September of 2020.

Trump left our bases filled with air strength and logistics and quick action troops on base... He smartly left the ground fighting up to the Afghanistan military and it was working... we had them covered with drones and air power as well as satellite intel... getting an agreement met by the Taliban was difficult... and that is what kept us in country...
Had the Taliban kept their word we would have gathered up our toys and left... we would not have ran away like Biden did....
You know one of the things Biden did was to replace all the Generals who Trump picked to lead the effort in Afghanistan... I still can't understand why but he did...
