It's pretty much a sure thing that the party is going to choose Newsome. They're already taking care to discredit RFK jr. to ensure that he can't squeak in when Biden is eliminated.

Equally interesting is how the R's can eliminate Trump when they see that the Dems have replaced Biden with a worthy opponent to Trump.

Biden has to go but the timing of the move is an interesting question? How long does it 'reallly' take to build up a new candidate's popularity. Probably no more than 6 months or less would be the optimum.

And then, will Trump be eliminated before the Dem swap or after?

Look for signs that the R party is somehow delaying the choice of Trump, in order to be able to respond to the Dems' new choice.

There's a good chance he will "retire" but it won't be to avoid impeachment. The GOP does not have the votes in the Senate to convict and remove. And if they did have the votes, do you think GOP leaders want Kamala to become president?

I see Biden announcing his retirement early next year (effective end of term) and a chick fight in 2024 to determine the Dem presidential nominee.

Well, in more gentle words, it does seem reasonable that his mental and physical condition will NOT get better between now and November, 2024.

Of course, we all wish him the best of health and a nice retirement.

Maybe Dem bigwigs realize that the dear old man probably could not finish a second term, so they will no doubt start giving Vice President Harris a bigger role.

For example, I have read that the Administration is planning a memorial to Emmett Till. This would be an excellent opportunity to showcase Vice President Harris and give President Biden a chance to start saying goodbye to an ethnicity that he has expressed great sympathy for since he was elected.

It would be a complete waste of time.

How about the GOP start gathering factual evidence so you can indict biden after he leaves office.
Seems like a more prudent use of time and resources.
