I don't read too much into this because it's a smaller sample size than normal and we're four months out still, but nonetheless, this can't give the Democrats a warm and fuzzy. In a recently released poll, Republican Alan Fung is leading all potential Democratic challengers in the race for Rhode Island's Second Congressional District. Every potential challenger is polling in the 30s while Fung is in the low 40s. This is a D+17 district, which generally mean it's safe Democrat, but there are a lot of undecideds. However, in the current environment, they could break for Fung in the end.

It's also worth noting this poll was taken just before the Roe case was officially released last week, so that could change things, however, the news has been out there for a month now due to the leak.

It's been 30 years since Rhode Island last sent a Republican to the House.

The changes coming in November are going to be nothing less than tectonic in scale. IMO, the policies of this administration were put in place with full knowledge of how destructive they'd be and with a complete understanding of what it would cost the Party in general. Biden was installed as a "fall guy" who could not be held accountable due to his age and infirmity and the Party figures to come back from the damage after the country has collapsed. THAT will never happen. The Democrat Party will forever be seen as traitorous for the damage they've wilfully accomplished.

Must be Charlie Baileygates alternate personality Hank Evans running. ;)
