A Nominee Essential To Fighting ISIS Has Stalled For No Reason
Republicans are blocking Adam Szubin's confirmation to a job targeting terrorist financing.
Adam Szubin, who has bipartisan support, has been waiting more than 200 days to be confirmed as the Treasury Department's under secretary for terrorism and financial crimes. The job involves tracking terrorists to prevent them from raising money on the black market and elsewhere.

For the past eight months, Republicans have been blocking the confirmation of Adam Szubin, nominated by the president to the position of Treasury Department’s Undersecretary for Terrorism and Financial Crimes.
In September, after many long months of inaction, Senate Republicans held a confirmation hearing on Szubin’s appointment. During the hearing, both Republicans and Democrats stressed how crucial the Treasury Department position is to US counter-terrorism efforts.
And immediately after the hearing, Republicans went back to doing what they do best — obstructing and undermining government. (How else can you prove that government doesn’t work?)
On Wednesday, Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), chairman of the Banking Committee which is blocking Szubin’s confirmation, made it clear that the confirmation will not take place this year.
“We’re not going to vote now,” Shelby said. “We’re going home for Christmas.”

What are the Repubs hiding? What do they want to accomplish?
They want an all out ground war - even though it would not affect ISIL.
They will do anything to harm the country and Obama.
Some of them have openly sided with our enemies in the past.
Yeah, that sounds like one of our RWNJ conspiracy nutters but try to think of any reason why the Rs don't want us to know who is funding ISIL, as well as why they don't want the funding stopped.
