When Texas started allowing Concealed Carry Permits a couple of decades ago naturally the prediction by democrats was that Texas would return to the Wild Wild West with shootings on the street among law abiding gun owners. In fact it was about 3 years before a concealed carry permit holder shot anyone.

That shooting turned out to be black letter self-defense. In other words a life saved because a good guy had a gun.

The latest research confirms that guns are used more in self-defense than they are in crimes.
