Only a team as deeply talented as S.F. could recover from the disastrous decision to move up from #12 to #3 and give away the farm to Miami to draft the second coming of Mitch Trubisky.

All those picks to get him, now they get just a 4th to trade him away. 😡

If the cap space they freed up lets them sign Bosa long term, though, than it’s a good move.
If they end up with Josh Johnson playing in the NFC Championship Game again…

As a result, the Dolphins finished Friday's moves with the No. 6 pick in this year's draft and multiple future first-round picks as part of their haul. Miami also has the No. 18 pick in this year's draft.

The Dolphins first sent shock waves across the NFL landscape by trading the No. 3 pick to the 49ers in exchange for the No. 12 pick this year, a first- and third-round pick in 2022 and a first-round pick in 2023.

I know Frisco has a good team. And teams can win with questionable quarterbacks. If they are that. Purdy is a 7th round pick. Darnold is on his third team. This is a new era where teams manipulating the salary cap and finding a niche as compared to other teams can be in a more competitive environment.

I know more than some of these GM's about QB play, and here is something many those geniuses can't seem to get right: Experience matters. Pressure matters. A pro-style offense matters. Purdy played 4 years at Iowa State, and he got a lot of experience, sometimes in high pressure games, he played Jalen Hurts and Oklahoma to a draw, losing by a FG in a high scoring shootout. Lance had none of that. The #3 pick in this years draft also has none of that, but he still went #3 (or maybe #4, can't remember) to the Colts. Carson Wentz didn't have big game experience and crumbled in the NFL. Even Elway gets it wrong in Denver, and he should know.
