imo, they are just looking to score "points" on Biden despite having championed Trump for 4 plus years. Whether the US chooses to not buy Russian oil is immaterial to the actual price of oil. Russia exports 5-7million barrels a day. We're still going to have to buy some oil, and we buy oil partially based upon how it fits refineries desired "mix" of different "weights" and "dirtiness."

But Biden should push to keep open, and open, any oil or NG pipeline that can actually function in the next year or so. And I was always in favor of building the keystoneXL
