Shooting a 172 year old Kentucky Rifle

Sweet old rifle!! Well done!!!

I have a Civil-War era Austrian Kammerbusch that I use in the Civil War reenactments. Austria was shipping alot of weapons to the South and the North was also buying them up to keep the South from getting them. Originally it was .69 caliber but has been bored out to be used as a fowling piece. Makes a helluva "boom" when you load it up with Pyrodex.

Pyrodex R

throw that shit in a bon fire and get some real Black Powder !! if you can not find any to buy, make your own, it is legal and there are many good recipes if you do a search. i have made my own back a few years ago, and it was really good stuff, almost as good as the old DuPont B.P., which i still have a pound or two from many years ago.

My all-time favorite rabbit gun was an original Manton dbl. percussion shotgun 10Ga. without any choke.
