Amazon and Walmart were allowing small mom and pop stores to do things that before those entities couldnt do. The brick and mortar in a small town, people had to visit that town, but when you can put your wares on Amazon and Walmart, and give a stipend to the companies those mom and pops were selling a lot more merchandise.

The baboons looting the truck don't know this (and don't care), but Amazon often holds drivers responsible for thefts from their truck. Additionally, a lot of these trucks are actually owned by the drivers, so they are liable for damages to the vehicle, too.
