Should Hollywood make more movies and TV shows about the Space Race?

So long as they don't lie and say it was "a global effort" that made it successful.

Is the Space Race all American?

I would like to see more interest in it. I grew up during the space race and figured we would have hotels and casinos in space and on the moon by now, and harvesting asteroids for materials. Not in my lifetime at this rate.
Seems today's generation has little interest and lacks the vision of long term human development and exploration. Yet everyone enjoys the advantage of global communication directly because of space exploration while arguing that it is a waste of money.

More science fiction in general would be nice. Problem is they always feel the need to shoehorn in their fucking social agenda bullshit. Good science fiction is rare

It took what, two decades to finally launch our own vehicle to the space station since the overrated Shuttle program, hitching a ride with the Russians?
Now the United Arab Emirates just launched a vehicle to Mars this week. The USA should be back in the race, to Mars and beyond. We should take this challenge. We can't remain on a planet with a finite life span.
.

Yes bring it on. It's reality, now and the future. Lots of potential for some good entertainment.

Think hollywierd is up to making a movie? TV series? Even a commercial? They are pretty deranged and out of it last few years.

I have found The Expanse to be a very interesting show. More realistic about travel in space in about 300 years. Need the subtitles as they do speak English but the accents of people living in the Asteroid Belt have purposely a strange thick accent and a language that merges most human languages.

Altered Carbon, a very violent series explores the possibility of downloading consciousness into other bodies and the fall of human morals regarding the extension of life. Technology was developed so humans could see the stars.

The Man in the High Castle explores an alternate universe in the 1960's after the Germans and Japanese defeat and occupy America after WW2. Hinting that other realities exist including ours.
Although nothing to do with Space Travel.

Dark Matter was raw and gritty.

Although kind of cheesy, I found myself hooked on the new Lost in Space.

I bet a dollar to a donut that if you poll every kid under 20 they would say the moon landing happened under JFK.
