Shutdown's damage to economy could exceed $5.7 billion cost of Trump's border wall

Let's have a penny by penny accounting of how a partial shutdown of non essential personnel affects the economy.

Its a no brainer really. Give Trump the 5 billion for the wall and the Govt. reopens and things get moving.

If not then the cost for the shutdown will continue up.

The shut down was started when Trumpublicans controlled both houses of Congress and the Presidency and ol'Trumpybear reneged on a bipartisan deal because Faux News damaged his fragile ego. So in essence the longest government shutdown in history was brought on by a disingenuous infotainment network masquerading as a serious news organization.

As to the CBS source the damage will be mostly to blue states. Oil and NG expansion of production are keeping down SALT in the red states. That means that Nancy is shifting employment away from the blue states to red states. This is a goodness thing.

which proves it isn't about the money. how fking stupid do these fks in DC think americans are? If I were a monkey, I'd fling poop at these DC rodents for the insulting manner in which they govern.

Only the Leftist Media has ever alleged the wall was only going to cost $5bn.

It is a Leftwing ploy to have some reason to call for the wall to be abandoned when he asks for more money later.

Then they will throw up their hands as though that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

"We thought 5bn was for the entire wall! Oh hell no! Not a penny more."

Jerks.

Stupid childish traitorous jerks.
