Sikh community celebrates Vaisakhi in Dubai

The Gurdwara Gurunanak Darbar Sikh Temple in Jebel Ali, the only Sikh temple in the country, hosted the grand celebrations that began on Tuesday.
Dubai — Tens of thousands of Sikh expatriates from India swarmed into Dubai’s Jebel Ali Industrial Area on Friday to celebrate their New Year called Vaisakhi.

The Gurdwara Gurunanak Darbar Sikh Temple in Jebel Ali, the only Sikh temple in the country, hosted the grand celebrations that began on Tuesday. As many as 100 buses and umpteen number of cars brought in Sikh devotees from across the emirates to the venue.
Surender Singh Kandhari, chairman of the temple, told Khaleej Times that over 50,000 people attended the celebrations.
