I'm not against lower taxes but I wish they would first simplify the tax code. And I'm not talking about reducing the number of tax brackets, but real change. First simply defining income as all money received during the year minus the cost it took to generate that income. Next make these deductibles consistent, either it is or isn't. None of this "is line Y is over 2% of line D" after they put you through lines E through X. Then lastly deal with the rates, at that point it is simple math.

Some cry for more taxes, more spending, more sanctuary cities, more "free" stuff for everyone. Yet, when it comes time to pay taxes they will avoid paying them as much as possible, and none of them will donate their returns to charity of the federal government to help out.

No shit: The mayor of Pittsburgh was recently quoted whining about Trump's plans to lower the corporate income tax rate. It seems that developers who devote a percentage of their residential stock to "affordable housing" receive tax credits that they can sell to profitable C-corporations, thus making non-viable developments possible.

If the corporate income tax rate is reduced significantly these credits will be difficult or impossible to sell, thus taking away a tool that facilitates the provision of "affordable housing" in desirable residential districts.

Thus, by implication, the Mayor (Peduto) advocates for maintaining or increasing the corporate tax rate. - the overall effect on the nation's economy be damned.
