Socialism is defined as Government taking over business and the means of production.
One of America's biggest advocates of socialism is the Starbucks Corporation.
Why not, just as an experiment, have the government take over SBUX, and run the stores. Government employees could serve as baristas, represented by government employee unions.
IMHO, it would be an economic catastrophe, even on this small scale. The Government Dept. of Starbucks would hemorrhage money, customers would not like being required to fill out forms and be required to wait 6-8 weeks for their mochas. Prices would soar, yet profits would evaporate.
But that's the essential nature of socialism.
Or, how about we do it with the Army instead, see if that works. See if having government control of the Army leads to something good.
Nah, it'd never happen.
Wow... you really don't get the difference between an army and a business?
