The link merely claims "solar stocks jumped" which could be a point or a couple of points. By the times it rolls around to the global warming crowd it comes out "solar stocks soar". My guess is that it's a sales gimmick. The truth of the matter is that there is no way you can recoup your investment in solar panels in a reasonable time frame. If solar panels worked you would see them on sky scrapers but they don't and you need a football field to power a normal single family house. Windmills kill migratory birds but PETA is silent on the issue because they are tied to the liberal agenda. The fix is in and the agenda is to punish Americans for their lavish consumption of fossil fuel by turning the U.S. into a 3rd world country.

No one disputes that Germany has a lot more solar than the US.
No one disputes that Germany pays lot more than the US.

Alt energy becomes cheaper than fossil fuel energy, and then we switch.

They would need to include the cost and extra generating capacity for storage so that it is a true stand alone base loading option. Otherwise, it's not an apples to apples comparison.
