Agreed, and Bannon was involved in his campaign too. Trump lurched to the right pretty hard when he saw an opening to run.

There's the pre-campaign Trump and post-campaign Trump. While it's possible that he actually had a sincere change of heart on a dime, given his behaviors, it's not unreasonable to wonder.
