The entire school came to a halt when the students walked out, demanding Deputy Fields be brought back.

Police officers do not belong on school property. If there is a crime underway then call them in. Otherwise? Leave them out. They are trained to deal with criminals. Not students.

The girl clearly asked for it, but because she's "one of the black oppressed" her foolishness got the cop fired. He's there doing his job, protecting kids, and he gets penalized? This pervasive lack of respect is completely overboard and out of hand. Unfortunately, it is the way of this generation, and makes me wonder how'd these kids miss the respect message we all grew up with. Somehow we failed in our parenting efforts or else it's purely a peer group thing of degenerates by example.

Thanks, Longknife.

The rest of the students - other than the "victim" - may well gain a valuable life-lesson from this mess and in doing so may well teach something to the rest of us.
Yes, the lesson is, police brutality gets punished when there is video...

Walk out? You mean they disrupted classes? My goodness, it must've been a slam-a-thon that day.

Many students ARE criminals.
Exactly.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. Even if they are not, anyone can show up at the school and do whatever they want to like that kid who shot up the school in Newtown.

If they break the law call the police. If they break a school rule suspend them or expel them. You do not need a police officer. You need a school principal that knows how to pick up a telephone and call the parents to collect their child. Very simple procedure. It's worked very well for decades.

Hope the all got detention, or thrown across the floor, for disobeying the rules.

And news for the kids, the cop's career is over and he is banned for life from the district properties. That's life, deal with it.

Actually it is a shame. The police officer should never have been called in - in the first place, PMH. He was trained to deal with criminals. Not students.

Obviously...

Most students ARE criminals. White, Black, Hispanic; Urban or Rural, etc..... most of them are criminals one way or another.
