The chairman of the Darfur Peace Office Dr Amin Hassan Omer has said that the situation in Darfur is under control.
In statements to the Omdurman Radio program Radio Conference on Friday quoted by the official news agency (SUNA), Omer said the active presence of the government in Darfur has sent strong messages to the armed movements regarding its confrontation to the government forces, calling on the movements that have not signed the peace agreement to join the peace process.
The peace door won't be closed before these movements, he added, asserting the government capability and commitment to eliminate all the illegal criminal or political activities.
