Supreme Court needs to strike down abolishment of EC or we need an ammendment allowing secession.

You know how the lefists are trying to change the rules in the middle of the game and abolish the Electoral College? Well, small states only agreed to join the union based on an agreement to the great compromise when the country was founded decreeing that each state got two votes and an additional number of votes based on their population. The reasoning behind the compromise has not changed. I say that if the Supreme Court does not strike down the current marxist power struggle to abolish the EC, we should at least ammend the constitution to grant states the right to secede if the Electoral College is abolished. The smaller states joined the union under the mutual agreement to the compromise we know as the Electoral College and if this country can't stand by the terms of that agreement, then we should not expect others to.

Yes, most conservatives are truly this stupid and ignorant.

The Electoral College can be eliminated only by an amendment to the Constitution – once the Constitution is amended, it’s beyond the purview of the Supreme Court to ‘strike down.’

And the amendment process functions independent of the Supreme Court, which has no authority to interfere with that process.

The best example of this would be the 14th Amendment rendering void the Dred Scott decision.

Conservatives couldn’t care less about ‘preserving’ the Electoral Collage or the ‘original intent’ of the Framers. Their defense of the Electoral College is solely partisan, electing Republican presidents contrary to the will of the majority of the people.

A typically partisan response from the Board idiot. The Electoral College is one of the checks against the Mob that the Founders were so concerned about. And you are an excellent example why their concern was well founded.

And that is why it is so hard to make amendments to the Constitution... So if all the requirements are met to amend the Constitution to get rid of the Electoral College, then things worked just as the Founders intended.

Strange how the right is suddenly all for making interpretations of what the founders wanted. A few days ago....the constitution was not open to interpretation at all.

Then again, the conservatives used to be for State's rights. Now....not so much.

Family values....deficit reduction....smaller government...free trade.... all have been tossed overboard to serve their orange master.

They're going to need some group counseling.

The will of the People or the will of California?

Fact is Hillary won the National Popular vote because of her four million plus win in California, but lost more States which the Electoral College easily can prove.

You hate the Electoral College because it allows smaller states more of a voice in our election process and you prefer mob rule like many on the right have been saying.

Had it not been for California slanted vote the Popular vote would have been a lot closer, so no one State landslide victory should not allow you to crown a Democrat as President.

In the end those that oppose the Electoral College do so because they know it keep their political party from just focusing on Progressive States and instead make them actually focus on Conservative and Swing States.

Oh, before you proclaim the Electoral College is racist Obama won it twice...

The only family values that matter to Trump supporters now is...

the reduction of the inheritance tax. :abgg2q.jpg:

Actually a better way to look at it is, Trump won PA and MI by less than a combined 80,000 votes and that swung the entire election. The number of votes that went to Jill Stein and Gary Johnson is what allowed Trump to win. Johnson and Stein got a total of around 420,000 votes in PA and MI combined.

Hate to tell you but those that voted for Johnson are not all stoners... Yes, I hit the bong, hit again, hit again and inhaled the shit out of it but there was no way I was voting for Trump or Clinton.

Clinton had no path for victory here in Texas.

Also Green voters are big stoners usually but more about socialism, so let not bash the Libertarian voters while ignoring the Green or Democratic Voters.

In the end Stein, Comey, Hillary and Wikileaks sunk Hillary in Swing States, this time just maybe the Democrats will run someone worthy voting for but unlikely...

I will be the first to say Hillary was the worst candidate the Dems could put up for the election... But if you think Gary Johnson got very many votes that didn't come from people that just wanted him to decriminalize weed, and actually thought he would do a good job you are crazy.

He didn't even know who Harriet Tubman was. You can't watch this clip of this guy and think he is worthy to be President.

The Gary Johnson Situation Just Got Weirder Than You Could Have Imagined

Wait, are you saying Johnson is worst than a man who did not know where his father was born?

At least Johnson had a excuse because he was baked, but come on Trump is a blathering idiot...

Also those that voted for Stein are usually the college kids that are idealistic and more stoned than me.

The Green party is the left problem and remember Rand and Ron are both Libertarians and Johnson and Weld were both GOP governors for liberal to Progressive States...

Well yeah I know trump is an idiot. As a famous philosopher once stated, "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice."

So I didn't vote for any of them, because none of them deserved to be President.

And Trump so wanted to get rid of it, because it served the Democrats. Now he likes it.

Name a Democrat that lost the National Popular vote and won the Electoral College?

Until then you and Trump need to learn history because the only ones that won the Electoratal College while losing the Popular Vote was Republicans and John Quincy Adams...

Presidents Winning Without Popular Vote - FactCheck.org

I know Trump is ignorant. (Gore and Clinton won the popular vote)

What does that have to do with the Price of Tea in China?

National Popular vote has never elected the President and a argument can be made for Gore but not for Clinton because as pointed out She lost too many States and Gore lost Florida but had he won his Home State of Tennessee Bush would have never been President.

So before you bash Trump why not learn when you can argue and stop pretending Clinton was Popular across this country and she was only Popular in certain states which is why she lost the Electoral College!
