Syrian Army begins military operation to recapture Raqqa

ISIS seizes two more villages from the Syrian Democratic Forces near Manbij

Thanks for the coverage and all of the links.

I am happily surprised at how well the anti-Isis ground campaign has been going. I wish the major U.S. television news outlets would cover it more given how often they all stress the importance of the war on ISIS with our election and the next presidency.

A. Al Masdar News is a Baathist propagandaist rag

B. Baathism is vs Isis-----six of one and half dozen of
the other. Mass murdering pig SADAAM HUSSEIN
was BAATHIST. In fact one of the biggest Baathist
bastards the world has thus far experienced---a lot
more blood on his filthy paws than upon the claws
of barbaric isis.

C. Baathism has had two significant cheering squads
since its inception in the early 1930s. Interestingly
enough------Nazi Germany and Communist Russia

Media have changed their way to report on Syria since 2011, when Nato launched the "Arab Spring".

Read a report about the controversial ban of Burkas in Syrian schools in 2010. Many saw it positive but others did´t. A Britain based guy states:
“The uniqueness of this great nation is its freedom; the right how to dress, speak and live according to one’s own choice. That is why the right of Muslim women to wear the veil should be protected by this Government.”
SYRIA BANS THE BURKA

Since 2011, media have only thrown dirt at Syria and made the most abhorrent accusations. Mountains of lies have been accumulated by the governments and their "free" press in order to manipulate the westerners.

But there are some few exceptions:

Are SDF about to liberate Manbij or will they wait? However, the "Syrian Observatory for Human Rights" again reports huge ISIS casualties. So huge and phenomenal compared with SDF casualties that only huge toxic barrel bombs in large numbers could have done this...

"With Manbij fully besieged for two weeks, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are yet to wrestle the city from the Islamic State despite extensive U.S. coalition air support.
Although the SDF seems in no rush to capture the city, Kurdish forces have seized Manbij’s most western district and rolled back several ISIS attempts at breaking out from the city.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a total of 446 ISIS militants and 59 SDF fighters have been killed since the Manbij offensive began on May 1st; however, the death toll cannot be independently verified by Al-Masdar News."

Breaking: Civilians panicly flee US airstrikes as SDF assaults the city. Trapped between US bombs and ISIS booby-traps, the remaining 7000 civilians might be used as human shield by ISIS. Hopefully, this is over soon. The relentless US bombings display the hypocrisy of the Coalition as they seem to reserve the right to bomb civilians exclusively for themselves while the areas bombed by the Syrian forces are vacated, anyway.

One of many faults inherent in human beings is arrogance. There's always someone who thinks the rules don't apply to them because they are somehow superior to others.

Hence the reason war has existed as long as humans have walked the earth.

As you say, hopefully this is.over soon.

There must be a trump for those fighting ISIS as ISIS´s methods cannot be adopted by those who aren´t like ISIS. This is a real dilemma. However, the "Coalition´s" goals are shady and the Kurds must always be aware of that the Coalition is with Turkey and excluded the Kurds from the peacetalks while placing terrorists in front of the government delegation. Since there are also terrorist elements among the Kurds, they will have to struggle to have a say when the cards are played off.

I don't know enough about the Kurds' ideology or their historic quarrels with Turkey to take sides. But I think they're definitely getting used and abused in the ISIS conflict and I agree that they need to be vigilant about protecting their interests as it is obvious no one else is truly on their side.

Generally, their organizations are socialist. They claim swaths of Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran for Kurdistan. The long time underdog role has caused some to go mad and become terrorists in Turkey, this is not meant as an excuse.
