President Donald Trump's request to station tanks or other armored military vehicles on the Mall for his planned July Fourth address to the nation.

The only problem I have is that tanks are not particularly kind to road surfaces. Why pain the already overtaxed DC gentry?

The reason most of our freeways are still intact is that Ike had them built to withstand tank traffic for our national defense....that was 70 years ago.

I agree but water cannons would work so much better. A water cannon would blow troublemakers down the road where they could be arrested and loaded in transports to jail.
