Cutting taxes creates wealth for everyone.......

North Carolina Wows with Its Impressive Tax-Cut Successes

State governments are constantly competing for people and businesses, and North Carolina has proved that cutting taxes is a great way to come out on top. Since 2013, Governor Pat McCrory and the state legislature have cut taxes by an astounding $4.7 billion — and the result has been economic growth, job growth, and even additional tax revenue that could spur yet more tax cuts in the years ahead.

North Carolina’s tax cuts to date have included reducing personal income taxes for every single working family in the state, lowering the corporate tax to the lowest rate in the country for states that still levy one, and eliminating the death tax entirely. To help patch budget holes, the state also eliminated exemptions to the sales tax to broaden its base and even the playing field.

The results speak for themselves. GDP growth — generally considered to be the most comprehensive measure of economic strength — was No. 1 in the country from 2013 through 2015. The state’s 13.4 percent growth far exceeded the 9.9 percent average for both the Southeast and the nation as a whole. Then there are jobs.

North Carolina’s labor-force growth in 2015 came in five times stronger than the national average, and the state is projected to add a total of 90,000 jobs in 2016 alone. In total, nearly 295,000 jobs have been added since 2013, and the unemployment rate — which was over 10 percent just five years ago — has been cut to 4.9 percent as of October 2016

Yet the Republicans are doing a coup on the incoming Dem governor and the people are protesting. Pubs own that state and I would only imagine the poor are suffering terribly.

The poor suffer when the democrats control things...because they tax, borrow and spend the state into inslovlency.......

North Carolina Republicans Tried to Disenfranchise a 100-Year-Old African-American Woman

they also had the nerve to interfere in voters as well, and the gov refused to succeed to the newly elected Dem Gov for over a month. Its all over the news.

She was challenged because her name showed up on a wrong list.....twit........and considering how many ineligible people are still on voting rolls...what is the issue here.....she proved she was a valid voter......and voted.....there was nothing sinister here........but nice try twit.

He wanted recounts.....just like jill stein...twit.

He was refusing to step down. He thought the Pub would come to his rescue and boy they tried. NC is crooked as heck in their congress.

By the way tax cuts are not the way to wealth for the middle class. Trickle down does not work. The elites and corp are tooooo greedy. It has been shown to fail, Bush Jr tried it , one big fail, Bush Sr. said "read my lips, no new taxes" but he had no choice and had to raise taxes. Trump is going to cause a disaster. That man had the nerve to question Obamas birth cert since day one, and where are his tax returns. He lies, he is never going to show them, he has too many secrets.

Of course, just look at the wonderful economy acheived by the Bush tax cuts. Remember what a wonderful year 2008 was? How the market soared, and the job market was so great. LOL

They cut taxes for corporations and the rich NOT the middle class....but OK.They also fucked up our schools big time bout the only thing I expect the democrap to try and fix course the democraps are the reason the GOP governor had to cut shit across the board.

Actually we are doing pretty good. NC is the only state in the south I know of that not only has medicaid cover teeth extractions BUT also pays for preventive care for teeth. Our county is the ONLY county I have lived in that has pre k and headstart for kids as young as 6 weeks. I prefer NC over Georgia or Tennessee as far as help for the poor. Wife was laid off work and literally 3 days later she was hired somewhere else full time hours slight dip in pay....so far as I know the poor are doing fine in North Carolina.
