Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to raise taxes on the rich — just not pay her own.

The Democratic socialist congresswoman from the Bronx still hasn’t paid a 7-year-old tax bill left over from a failed business venture.

AOC had founded Brook Avenue Press, a publishing house that sought designers, artists and writers from urban areas to help paint the Bronx in a positive way in children’s stories, in 2012.

How much will it cost the IRS to get their lawyers to file suit against her to recover the $2000, take her court and get a judgement for $2000, and then seize the $2000 from her bank account? Just the costs of getting the judge to write the order would exceed the $2000 recovered.

When the Mueller Investigation went after Paul Manafort for unpaid taxes, they recovered $42 million dollars from Manafort in unpaid taxes, levies, and fines. The amount they collected paid for the entire Mueller Investigation, all of the prosecutions flowing from it, with money left over to cover the costs of Manifort's incarceration.

Cost/benefit analysis says to go after the big tax cheats, the little guys aren't worth pursuing.
