I would agree this is a nothingburger EXCEPT for one thing. Walz in a very public way misrepresented his role and rank for political gain.These guys are all splitting hairs that no one really give a shit about.
The only reason he was “demoted” was because he retired after only year of having the higher rank. It wasn’t like he did anything bad. If he had stayed in, he would have completed the training and kept the rank. Painting this as a black mark is just petty.
Compare that to the crazy loser Ronny Jackson who was demoted because of his failure in command and still claims he’s an admiral.
