If this is what “the good times” look like, how nightmarish are “the bad times” going to be?

In America today, more than 500,000 of us are homeless, about 40 million of us are living in poverty, 50 percent of all workers make less than $33,000 a year, and 70 percent of us have cried about money.

Well, imagine that there is nobody who can get us out of this debt hole. Not even Trump ...

But . . . but, Political Chic swears up and down that poverty doesn't exist in the United States!

Interesting. The author blames government "control freaks". And he makes this odd statement:

<<In profession after profession, government control freaks have made it nearly impossible to make a living, and this has pushed the percentage of Americans that are self-employed to historic lows.>>

I assume he means over regulation and possibly imposed health care costs. And wouldn't the self employment numbers be at historic highs if people can't make enough in a profession?

I recognize there is a growing underclass but like most big problems we face there are multiple factors involved. Mental illness, drug addiction, non-skilled and mono lingual illegals, failure to save and invest, spending beyond your means as well as inept government all factor into the problems of homelessness and poverty. The national debt is a massive problem, the interest on the debt takes almost 10% of the annual tax revenue.

Actually, yes. I put PC on Ignore a day or two ago. Got tired of her rants denying poverty in the USA even as the Fed itself has endless databases defining and measuring it.

Income and Poverty in the United States: 2018

That and the fact that when challenged on anything, she argues like a whinny little liberal no better than any of them.
