The funny thing about trusting science is scientists are human and generally have an axe to grind, jobs to keep, grants to get and butts to kiss....
Sure, I can accept the obvious science, sit on a fire your ass gets burned but I have a problem trusting science/scientists on such things as global warming/cooling, direct line evolution (we should be swimming in missing links) and the impossibility of the creation of life.
