The Israeli military does not target civilians' - video

That is merely the highly biased opinion of a clearly prejudiced news commentator on the UK's Channel Four; dealing with the 2014 Gaza War.

We've been over this ground time and again, on this message board system, to no avail - lacking credible proof that the Israelis did any such thing.

When you can bring objective and credible evidence to the table, then, maybe, you'll be taken more seriously in this context.

But until you can produce convincing objective and credible proof that the Israelis, as a matter of policy and practice, routinely and intentionally target Palestinian civilians irrespective of whether or not the Palestinians have embedded war-assets in such target areas, well, it's back to the Kiddie Table for you...

Until your Islamist handlers send you new instructions, anyway...

Channel Four might as well be a wholly owned subsidiary of al Jazeera, for all the so-called 'neutrality' they bring to the table, in connection with Israel.

In the context of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, if the hacks at Channel Four said that day was light, and night was dark, I'd get a second opinion...

Yes, yes, yes... people died.

No shit, Sherlock... it's a friggin' war...

The dumb-ass Palestinian retards should have thought of that before they started shooting-off rockets and digging commando-sortie tunnels, eh?

What does this pointless belching-up of year-old pictures do, to prove that civilians were intentionally targeted?

fanger, et al,

This is pro-Palestinian manipulation of the media in an attempt to gain sympathy.

(COMMENT)

The leadership of HAMAS is simply creates havoc by launching rockets form densely populated areas which are in very close proximity to protected targets. And the HAMAS Leadership makes absolutely no effort to evacuate citizens from areas that are being used by HAMAS to launch. This is a clear violation of several Rules of War and an attempt to use civilian casualties as media fodder.

I said it before & I'll say it again. If you don't like dead Palestinians, then Palestinians should stop attacking & killing Israeli's. But then, Palestinians will be Palestinians. It's called Palestinian mentality.

Why do you believe the Palestinians should behave differently than the non-whites of Apartheid South Africa, the Algerians under occupation, etc?

Isn't it cute, how Palestinians and their fifth-columnist supporters, continually try to push the faux analogy of South Africa in Apartheid times?

Israel is engaged in a multi-decade, multi-generational war with hostile Muslim-Arab Palestinians, and their half-assed political-military organs such as Hamas, and Israel is conducting long-term siege and blockade operations, to crush and break their enemy, and they react to their enemy's military actions with overwhelming force.

The Israelis don't discriminate against Hamas with regard to their race... the Israelis discriminate against Hamas with regard to their continuing to draw breath.

But this does nothing to shed further light upon the OP - namely, whether Israel intentionally, and substantively, as a matter of policy and practice, target civilians rather than the war-assets (rocket launchers, weapons and munitions caches, operational and staging and communications centers, etc., which the cowards of Hamas embed within their own civilian population centers, hospitals, mosques, schools, etc. - hiding behind the skirts of their women and children like the weasels and cowards that they truly are.

Come back and let us know when you've got something more relevant and credible and authoritative and conclusive on the subject.

Exactly what is it that Israel does that you associate with the once South African Apartheid?

You have yet to offer-up any true example of "Apartheid."

Past II - §Article 7(2h) - Crimes Against Humanity; Rome Statutes - International Criminal Court
"The crime of apartheid" means inhumane acts of a character similar to those referred to in paragraph 1, committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime;

Elements of the Crime: Apartheid §Article 7(1i), RS, ICC
§Article 7 (1) (j) Crime against humanity of apartheid
Elements

1. The perpetrator committed an inhumane act against one or more persons.
2. Such act was an act referred to in Article 7, paragraph 1, of the Statute, or was an act of a character similar to any of those acts. (It is understood that “character” refers to the nature and gravity of the act.)
3. The perpetrator was aware of the factual circumstances that established the character of the act.
4. The conduct was committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups.
5. The perpetrator intended to maintain such regime by that conduct.
6. The conduct was committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against a civilian population.
7. The perpetrator knew that the conduct was part of or intended the conduct to be part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against a civilian population.
The Arab Palestinians have to really stretch the truth to prove HALF these elements, let alone ALL of these elements. And certainly to prove that there was some widespread or systematic attack (institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination) directed against a civilian population is going to be something. It will be very difficult to show that without rhyme or reason, the Israelis and start with the "inhuman acts." Each time the Arab Palestinians engages in non-peaceful demonstrations, there is a potential for the loss of life.
Israel's Actions Against Palestinians Violate Human Rights
By Michael Ratner / Center for Constitutional Rights / August 4, 2014

Apartheid is defined as inhumane acts committed to maintain the domination of one racial group over any other. Those inhumane acts include murder, bodily injury, mental injury, infringement of freedom or dignity of a population, or measures preventing participation in the political, social, or economic life of the country. Anyone with a basic knowledge of the history of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians knows that that definition rings remarkably true in this instance, in both the past and present.
Israel does not represent "one racial group."
Israel is not attempting to dominate another "racial group." Israel is more ethnically and racially diverse than the Palestinian Territories that claimed to be opposed by "one racial group."

Ethnic Groups International Fellowship of Christians and Jews
The ethnic stereotype most North Americans associate with Jews—think Jerry Seinfeld or Woody Allen—does not (and never has) apply to Israelis. In addition to the non-Jewish ethnic groups in Israel, Israeli Jews come from nearly as many ethnicities as Americans themselves. Read about some of the largest ethnic groups in Israel here.

Ashkenazi Jews
The groups of Jews known as "Ashkenazim" technically refers to Jews descended from the medieval Jewish communities of the Rhineland Valley, encompassing most of modern-day Germany and part of northern France. Though literally translated as "German Jews," the term today is defined much more broadly, and includes Jews descended from European communities such as Poland, Lithuania, and Russia. Read more »

Bedouin People
While the term "Bedouin" conjures images of flowing robes and roaming tribes, most Bedouin living in Israel today have become sedentarized, leaving their nomadic lifestyle, moving into houses, and finding employment. But their culture is strong, and thought they might be settled in one place, their tradition has not died out. Read more »

Black Hebrews
The Black Hebrews, not to be confused with Ethiopian Jews, are groups of people with African ancestry who believe they are the descendants of the ancient Israelites, namely the Ten Lost Tribes. The groups, with varying degrees of adherence to Jewish law, consider themselves the authentic Jewish people. The communities are mostly situated in America, but one particular group, the African Hebrew Israelites, have become a substantial community in Israel.Read more »

Ethiopian Jews
The story of the Ethiopian Jewish community, called Beta Israel, and their journey to the Holy Land is fascinating. The ancestry of this group is unclear; theories range that they descend from the lost tribe of Dan, which settled in Egypt during the period of the Divided Kingdom; from the son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, though no mention of a marriage or sexual relations between them appears in the biblical text; from a community who settled in Egypt following the destruction of the First Temple… Read more »

Indian Jews
Jewish groups have existed in India for centuries, possibly arriving as early as the end of the reign of King Solomon, when the Israelite kingdom split into two. Others claim to be descendants of the Jews exiled following the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE. Most of the Indian Jewish community immigrated to Israel after 1948, when Israel declared its independence. Read more »

Israeli Arabs
Approximately 20% of Israel's citizens are Arabs, totaling over one million inhabitants. Of these 20%, the majority consider themselves Muslim. "Israeli Arabs" generally refers to Israeli citizens who are not Jewish, and whose culture and ancestry is Arabic. (Jews from Arabic countries are considered "Jews," not "Israeli Arabs.") Russian Jews
In the early 20th century, the official Soviet Communist movement condemned Zionism, though for a short time in the 1940's, despite the ideological differences, Stalin became pro-Zionist. Sephardic Jews
Sephardic Jewry, in the most traditional sense of the term, refers to the group of Jews who originated on the Iberian Peninsula, living in Spain and Portugal. Even today, "Sepharad" is the Hebrew word for Spain. Many Sephardic Jews are descendants of those Jews exiled from Spain and Portugal during the end of the 15th century.
In most arguments pertaining to "apartheid" and Israel, the dialog sounds like an ambulance chaser pleading a case.

Israel's Actions Against Palestinians Violate Human Rights
By Michael Ratner / Center for Constitutional Rights / August 4, 2014
If we agree that Israel violates the human rights of Palestinians, what can we do about it? The idea of BDS comes from its record of success in past situations of oppression and apartheid, like in South Africa.

In this case, the charge of "Apartheid" does not even make a difference. The Arab Palestinians can support the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement for any reason it wants. It does not change the fact that the charge of Apartheid is baseless.

Israel's Actions Against Palestinians Violate Human Rights

It’s like saying a white person is the best qualified to speak about apartheid. No, the victims of apartheid are the best qualified.

This comment actually suggests that this case of "apartheid" is a "White" 'vs' "Something." In any event, the argument is that no "White Person" can adequately understand, appreciate, and discuss the issues of "Apartheid."

Playing the race card is counterproductive.

Targeting civilians? Two thirds of the depraved animals who call themselves Palestinians are in favor of stabbing attacks against Israeli civilians.

Jerusalem (AFP) - Two-thirds of Palestinians support the ongoing wave of stabbings against Israelis, with the same percentage backing a larger armed uprising, a poll released on Monday found.

Sixty-seven percent back the use of knives, while 66 percent of those asked said an armed intifada or uprising would "serve Palestinian national interests in ways that negotiations could not", the survey by the respected Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR) found.

Since October 1, almost daily attacks by Palestinians and clashes with Israeli soldiers have killed 117 on the Palestinian side, 17 Israelis, an American and an Eritrean.

Many of the Palestinians killed have been alleged attackers, and a large number have been young people, including teenagers. Others have been shot dead by Israeli security forces during clashes.

Speaking on Monday, Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas said that young Palestinian demonstrators were "driven by despair (at the fact) that a two-state solution is not coming".

The PSR survey, which interviewed 1,270 people in 127 randomly selected locations, showed just 45 percent of Palestinians support the two-state solution and only 34 percent think it is feasible because of the expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

According to the survey, 65 percent of Palestinians also want Abbas to resign, and if presidential elections took place he would lose to Hamas, the Islamist movement that rules the Gaza Strip.

Abbas's mandate expired in 2009 but no vote is scheduled because of divisions between the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and Hamas.

"The Palestinian public thinks Abbas does not support the current confrontation and is not serious (pursuing) diplomatic confrontation with Israel, which is why he is losing support," Khalil Shikaki, head of the PSR, told AFP.

He added that the poll suggests violence will continue during 2016, with the possible involvement of more heavily armed militants.

"The armed militants in refugee camps, including Fatah (Abbas's party) have not moved so far, but a change in behaviour of Israeli forces, the loss of legitimacy of leaders and a process of demoralisation within Palestinian security forces could lead to more attacks," Shikaki warned.

Not once they take up arms against the Israeli's, then they become militia and valid military targets. Read and understand the IHL and Geneva conventions

That is the remit of the P.A. not Israel. Another moron that needs to learn who is stopping the Palestinians from having equal rights.
