The Left Think the World is Overpopulated

Global food production will drop a long way down for a few centuries. Without fossil fuels to run tractors and other farm machines, mine and ship chemical fertilizer, etc., commercial megafarms will be mostly replaced by much smaller farms with more manual labor. Huge tracts of land will be less fertile for a long while, for many reasons: depleted aquifers, soil erosion, pollution, climate change, etc. And we also lose most of the medicines currently available. The human population will probably drop to a rock bottom of around 5% of the current population in a few centuries and then slowly climb back up to a sustainable population of around a billion.

The overpopulated view I’m sitting on a porch looking at right now. View attachment 992623
I went to the UP and it was WONDERFUL. So much wide open space. Still doesn't change the fact the world is overpopulated.

In 1970 we had 4 billion people and earth's overshoot day fell in December. Perfect. Today we have 8 billion and our overshoot day is

We already consumed as much as we should have. We're destroying the planet for humans. Cochroaches will be fine

You Democrats are hard at work starting WW3 so you’ll get your wish.

Meanwhile I can walk from Georgia to Maine or the Mexican border to the Canadian border and never step foot on private land.

Those stupid little stats mean nothing.

Honestly, I don't think it will be Democrats who start WW3.

Trump letting Russia take Ukraine could.
Trump fucking with China too much could
Trump's policies on South America could
Trump and Bibi Netenyahoo taking out world leaders as they visit other countries could

This is good news. 47% of adults in the United States under 50 years old do not have children, up from 37% in 2018.

  • Financial concerns: 36% of young adults say they can't afford to raise a child. The cost-of-living crisis has made it difficult for young people to buy a home and have children.

  • Environmental concerns: 26% of young adults say the environment is a major factor in their decision not to have children.

  • State of the world: 38% of young adults say the state of the world is a major consideration.

  • Wanting to focus on other things: 44% of young adults say they want to focus on other things, such as their career or interests.

  • Not finding the right partner: 24% of young adults say not finding the right partner is a major reason they are unlikely to have kids.

  • Just don't want to: 57% of young adults say they just don't want to have children.

  • Negative experiences with their own family growing up: 18% of young adults say they had negative experiences with their own family growing up.

  • Infertility or other medical reasons: 13% of young adults point to infertility or other medical reasons.

The Left thinks the World is overpopulated but doesn’t think the US is over populated given its Open Border position. The party of Margaret Sanger lives on.

The world is NOT "overpopulated." Leftists just hate humans.

They worried about the growing population back in 1798 when there was 1 billion people

The theory claims that growing population rates contribute to a rising supply of labour and inevitably lowers wages. In essence, Malthus feared that continued population growth lends itself to poverty.

Did you hear TACO the other day threatening Putin? LOL. Cute.

  • The U.S. fertility rate has fallen to 1.6 births per woman, below the 2.1 needed to sustain the population.
  • Despite bipartisan proposals like baby bonuses and expanded child tax credits, experts say the problem runs deeper than economics.
  • Cultural shifts, high costs of living, lack of paid leave and delayed adulthood are all contributing to a national baby bust that may reshape the future of the U.S. economy.
“Our population will, in the not too distant future, start to decline,” said Melissa Kearney, a professor of economics at the University of Maryland. “That’s why this is an issue for governments and for the economy, and politicians are starting to pay attention.”

The economic implications of a shrinking population are broad. For example, fewer births mean fewer future workers to support programs like Social Security and Medicare, which rely on a healthy worker-to-retiree ratio.

“The concern here in the U.S. is that if we see kind of dramatic declines in fertility, we will eventually see also kind of a drag on our economy and our capacity to cover all sorts of government programs like Medicare and Social Security,”

The White House is considering lump-sum payments of $5,000 for each newborn

The issue may go beyond money. It’s common for fertility to decline during economic uncertainty, but it usually rebounds once the shock ends, experts say. Surprisingly, birth rates did not recover after the Great Recession.

“More and more young adults are kind of assuming that what matters for them is their education, their money, and especially their careers,”
